Civil Estimator

Gulf Stream Construction Company is currently seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to support their diverse industrial, commercial, and heavy highway Site Work operations. Primary responsibilities will include performing the initial takeoffs, reviewing specifications, and interfacing with the necessary subcontractors/vendors to obtain pertinent pricing and to incorporate this data into an itemized competitive bid. Will provide key information to the Project Manager as it relates to scope of work, basis of bid, pricing, scheduling, vendor lists, changes in materials, and all other significant information. This role is charged with negotiating and formulating low bids, without sacrificing quality to achieve a continual pipeline of profitable business.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years related experience, including working knowledge of CAD and Bid 2 Win software. Bachelor’s Degree in the field of civil construction is highly preferred or an experience level in lieu of formal education.
