Aircraft Maintenance Technology Lab Technician (Laboratory Specialist II) #1239 –
This position requires an associate degree and three (3) years journey-level technical experience in a related laboratory setting; or high school diploma and five (5) years journey-level technical experience in a related laboratory setting. A valid SC driver's license is also required. Specialized education or proprietary training in aircraft technologies is preferred. Ideal candidate will have FAA airframe and powerplant certificates and at least two (2) years of practical experience in the field of aircraft maintenance. Knowledge and experience in aircraft maintenance processes with emphasis given to flightline and shop work experience
is essential. Excellent communication and customer service skills are also essential. Under the supervision of the Aeronautical Program Coordinator, this position is responsible for managing the aeronautical labs and providing advanced technical assistance to faculty. Candidate must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology. Salary is commensurate with education and experience based on SC pay band 4. Aircraft Maintenance Technology Instructor
(FAA Part 147 School) - To qualify you must have a bachelor’s degree or an associate degree in related area and airframe and powerplant licenses. Position requires some knowledge and experience of all aircraft maintenance subjects (general, airframe, powerplant), with experience in both flight line and shop level maintenance preferred. Teaching experience is also preferred. Excellent customer service skills are required. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. This position is opened until filled.
