Chemistry Instructor # 1216

This position requires a master’s degree in chemistry or a closely related field; or a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in chemistry.  Preference will be given to applicants with at least two (2) years of teaching experience in a post-secondary education area. Proficiency in a learning management system such as D2L is preferred.  The ability to teach and develop courses for both face-to-face and on-line classes is essential. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are also essential. In addition to teaching, this position’s responsibilities include, but are not restricted to, academic advising, planning and revising curriculum, participating in college-wide activities, maintaining office hours, and teaching varying schedules at different locations.  Candidate must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology and demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.  This position is open until filled with preference given to qualified applicants who apply by January 13^th, 2012.
